Always great service and everyone is very friendly. My husband always has the large Pozole it is so good. I always have the huevos rancheros with a side of home fries. Never a disappointment. Prices are right and food is sooo good. One of my local favorites.

My GF and I decided to eat here since there were 4stars. As soon as I walked in I felt that it was lacking AC. In 110degrees. No Bueno. I needed to use the restroom and it was even hotter in there. The staff were nice and the food was good but my GF and I both ended up with a case of the runs..... We had the green chile chilaquilles w/rice and beans.. Yummy but not for my tummy. We were running to get to a rest stop on the way home to Los Angeles. No Bueno.. They need to update their furniture and fix there AC.

If you like choizo have the chorizo potato breakfast. Don't be afraid of the gringo food in this little mex restaurant. They have really good french toast! And when you order eggs...they actually come out the way you ordered them.

I've been here several times and always had good service and good food yesterday, I was there with my mother and my wife and the food was less than mediocre which was totally unacceptable, And the chili had no flavor taste like it was water down. Also service was very slow the tip that I could leave you don't sit in the back side portion of the restaurant nobody will serve you

Good basic Mexican food, authentic and simple- we come here whenever we're in town. Wish they were open for dinner! We often come for breakfast so we have more experience with their breakfast menu than anything. Family run it seems, and generally friendly. Good service and good food, very reasonable prices! We'll be back...again.

I'm a picky eater, everything I order here is amazing. The food is full of flavor and the service is the best!! It's always busy here but you don't really feel it because they are always checking on you. If you want authentic mexican this is the place to come to. My husband and I leave happy and full every time

I've been to Lizzy's about three times now, I think, and I've ordered the chorizo and potato burrito with added refried beans every time. I cannot get past it. I really wanted to wait and write a review after having tried more than one thing, but I've faced facts. I'm never going to try anything else. This burrito is so good I could probably eat it for breakfast every day. I do feel confident giving them five stars, though, because my husband and other family members have tried various things off of the menu and love it. He particularly likes the machaca. My grandma says their cheese quesadilla is the best she's ever eaten, and she's eaten a lot of quesadillas in her day. Maybe one day I'll finally get the chilaquiles, as I have often lusted after them and then been unable to forgo the goodness which is the chorizo and potato burrito with added beans. One day.

I love this place. It is a great place for lunch, their mexican food is great, as is all the American food. I have tried many dishes and have not gone away unhappy. Don't let the looks fool you, it is worth the visit.

This is a great family run restaurant with a friendly and welcoming staff. This is one of my mothers favorite places to eat breakfast in Bullhead City and when my brother and I visit her we treat her for breakfast here. Mom loves their menudo and I could not disagree with her because I love it to. This place cleans the tripe really good. If the tripe is cleaned properly there should be no funky tripe oder. Other food items I've had and enjoyed. - Breakfast Burrito with chorizo, cheese, potatoes & beans. This big burrito hit the spot and the chorizo was not greasy. This was the first time I had a chorizo burrito without egg mixed into it. - Machaca con Huevo - The meat was extremely tender. This plate came with rice and bean with tortillas.

Every time I go to Laughlin on vacation I wake up and drive over to Lizzy's Kitchen it's about a 10 to 15 min drive and so so worth it. My girlfriend loves this place also and she is very picky. We always get eggs toast bacon or ham and home fries, every time it taste the same, delicious I wish I could find good breakfast like this in socal. This last time we went 2 days in a row the 2nd time I really wanted to try the Mexican style breakfast so I got a chorizo egg and potato burrito and biscuits and gravy I'm so glad I did because it was amazing. I read some reviews about beans in the burrito I'll have to try that next time. I was adding the gravy into the burrito with there green sauce I took half of this giant burrito home and when I got home I finished the burrito and it tasted just as good as it did in the morning. I love the friendly family staff great service and excellent food!

We came in a group of five and there was only one table that could fit all of us. Service was okay, nothing great though. They have a good selection of breakfast and lunch but the food wasn't that flavorful for being Mexican food. The enchilada sauce was gross, flavor was weird. The Chile relleno was breaded too much and took away from the flavor of the Chile and cheese. Overall we gave it 2 stars for their selection.

This place has been in town as long as I can remember (I've only been here off and on for 15 years). The family is sweet, the food is great - they'll make it the way you like it - so even if the menu says chorizo & potatoes, if you'd rather have chorizo & eggs - just ask! The only thing I don't care for is the grease smell you leave with - I like the food, I don't like smelling like it all day - so I usually do carry-out.

Let's start off by saying it was probably my fault for picking something that wasn't Mexican at a Mexican restaurant. I got the Club sandwich. Bad bad choice! I thought it would be real turkey but what I got was toasted bread with lunch meat. Gross. No flavor, half a head of lettuce and a thick tomato. I should've gotten something else. My fiance got the Ortega burger and asked the waitress what it was. She had no clue. Why doesn't she know the menu? My step dad had to answer her. Maybe she was new? I waited 20 mins after everybody else for them to bring me something I could've made at home. Why did it take that long to slap two pieces of bread together with lunch meat?? Did they have to run to Safeway for the cheap ass meat? I may give this place another chance but I will not order something like that again. The last time they gave my mom her food 20 mins after everybody else. And it wasn't even busy. We were the ONLY customers! Time management with them isn't so awesome and it sucks watching everybody else eat and almost be done when your food arrives. I just have really bad luck when I go out to eat. I may come back but I think I got spoiled at El Charros. It's never a hit or miss there.

My family and I really liked this place when we came out here to the river. Family run and the ppl are so nice and great service and the food is almost as good as my gramma's but it sure is tasty. We liked it so much we ate here twice! I really recommend the Mexican breakfast. I loved the green chilaquiles, not spicy, at least not for me and great coffee.

Like this place but it is strange...sometimes the food is great sometimes it is just OK...they need to get it together! A little pricey for what you get...the burritos are not real Mexican food! I was raised in SoCal and have eaten and made Mexican food my whole life! Need to step up!

Hole in the wall cafe... Just the place you look for on a road trip. The service was great , our drinks never empty and the food came fast despite the entire restaurant being packed the entire time we were there. Four of us got out of there for under $20 (with drinks) - we can't do that even at fast food. The food had large portions... Enough for our kids to share. I had a traditional omelet, but many Mexican meals are in the menu but just ate at Oriol's last night in Bullhead (another Yelp hit). Because they have three choices of traditional salsas on each table, I was able to enjoy a spicy flare to my omelet. It was a needed addition because of the amount of meat in my omelet. If in Bullhead and you want fresh ingredients try Black Bear Diner, but for cheap large portions you can't beat Lizzie's Kitchen. Negatives: The parking was tight and they had a surcharge for using credit card.

The wife and I ate here while visiting my parents in Fort Mohave. The place isn't much for looks, but the food is very good. My wife ordered the machaca and eggs and I had the chorizo and eggs and added cheese. Both meals comes with refried beans and a few tortilla chips in the beans. Both meals also comes with torillas. The food comes fast and hot and we also ordered home fries on the side. The home fries had a little spice to them (probably tabasco) and were good. The orange juice is probably Minute Maid, wasn't expecting fresh. The prices are very reasonable, each dish was $6.99 ($1.00 for cheese) and the home fries were $2.00. The only disappointment was the salsas. They didn't appear to be homemade and for a Mexican breakfast place I would expect fresh salsa.

My husband and I were leaving Laughlin and we wanted a good breakfast before our long drive home! We stopped at Lizzy's Kitchen. Like another user said, hole in the wall....my husband and I find some of the most amazing food at those kind of places. Anyway, we sat at the counter, very friendly service. Our waitress brought coffee right away and gave us just enough time to figure out what we wanted. The menu is quite extensive! They have traditional breakfast as well as Mexican breakfast items. My husband got the Chorizo with eggs and potatoes. He loved it! The chorizo was not greasy at all. I decided to get the biscuits and gravy, with eggs and hash browns. Everything was done to perfection. Lastly, the service was excellent, our coffee cup was never empty, our food was brought to us right went it was ready and everyone that worked their was nice, friendly and attentive. We will be sure to stop here every time we go to Laughlin. (hope I sp. it right)

Lizzys Kitchen has some of the best pozole and breakfast items in the entire area! Im from LA and this restaurant would blow away some of the breakfast spots in Beverly Hills and all of West LA. Just wish they could have a location there because they would make a killing! The coffee is great, and the portions are decently reasonable in size, you definitely get your money's worth. Get your butt off of that couch and cool down at Lizzy's kitchen and enjoy some chow. Service is outstanding! Best rye toast!

Great food & service. I had mexican and Robert had traditional American breakfasts both were excellent. We will definitely be back next time we are in Laughlin. The restaurant is actually across the river in Bullhead City but well worth the 10 minute drive. Oh yeah, They are only open for breakfast and Lunch and close at 3:00 PM.

Ok with the limited places of good food to eat in Laughlin im glad we found this one on YELP. The food was all tasty. I had the chilaquilles and my bf had the menudo both were really good. And the servers were so polite and friendly. We were very happy with our service there and will def return!

My wife son & I ate breakfast here this morning, it was great. If you like Mexican food for breakfast, this is the place to go when you are in BHC. They also serve traditional American style food. I had the #53, 2 eggs, pork tamale & beans. It's called the Tamale Breakfast. Mmmmm good!!! Try this place!

Today was my second time to Lizzy's, and it was just as good as the first. I had the "Chile rellano" breakfast and it was amazing. Cooked to absolute perfection. The refried beans that they bring with the meal are the best within 500 miles. My son had pancakes for breakfast. He never finishes eating before I do, but today was the exception. He stuffed himself silly. It's a small diner in a small stripmall and you just don't care about ambiance with food this good.

Odd little place with odd seating. One of those places that if you're not a local everyone turns and stares when you walk in. Been here for breakfast a couple of times, and unless ordering mexican for breakfast which is good, it tastes just like Denny's. I can take it or leave it.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
